I’m fascinated with Abraham Lincoln. I put together a web group to share lesser known tidbits about the man. You made my day!
If you would like to share your tidbits, perhaps you will share them on this site as we could publish them in a blog, or you might add them yourself. Thank you for visiting our site and let us hear from you. I am at firstname.lastname@example.org, Claire McLean, CEO http://www.presidentialmuseums.com
In the bottom of an old box I found a portrait (not a painting) of George and of Martha Washington on very brittle parchment paper with blue paper frames also very brittleand I would like to know if they are as authentic as they appear,
Thanks for you e mail about the old parchment type paper with drawings of interest which is hard for e to comment on without seeing them. They sound interesting and you should explore further the potential they are authentic and may hold some interesting facts about our presidents. I suggest you take what you can to the local library and let them explore the possibilities. Mean while have a great holiday, and a very Merry Christmas.
Surprised not to see the Morris-Jumel Mansion home in NYC. It was his headquarters for a year.
